Tim Raues Königsberger meatballs from veal

Beet, mashed potatoes

… my Königsberger Klopse achieved media fame when we cooked them for the state banquet for the first visit of the then American President Barack Obama. At the request of our then Chancellor Dr. Merkel, we served the meatballs as the main course. The Obamas asked for seconds twice! We make the meatballs from veal, add the capers directly to the meatballs and cook the sauce with Riesling and white pepper. Served with creamy mashed potatoes and sweet and sour spicy beet with jalapeño and chervil. I could eat it every day!

...And it all began with granny gerda

Tim’s culinary story begins with Grandma Gerda. He says himself: “My greatest wish would be to be able to cook for her and my grandfather here on the TV tower”. Watch the video to find out what special story connects the two of them.
