July in Berlin is going to be hot – in the truest sense of the word. Temperatures are rising, but the numerous hot events and festivals also offer an enormous variety of fun. Here are five essential tips to make the most of this month:
1. UEFA EURO 2024
July is still dominated by the European Football Championship, with an exciting program that you shouldn’t miss – we are also heading towards the final and can hardly wait, not least because the venue for the final is the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. On July 7, the historic GDR-BRD game from 1974 will be replayed at the Gropius Bau. On July 8, the FUTURE LEAGUE will be presented in the fan zone at the Reichstag, and the grand final will take place on July 14. Experience the thrilling atmosphere on the fan mile at the Brandenburg Gate, at the fan zone near the Reichstag or at numerous public viewing events throughout the city.
However, the ultimate tip for UEFA EURO 2024 is the Telekom campaign with Magenta Sport on the side of the Neptune Fountain at the foot of the Berlin TV Tower. Here, you can use a QR code to trigger a shot on a ball shot machine free of charge via check-in and project a message including your name, a country flag of your choice and a message onto the Berlin TV tower. Isn’t that awesome? And as if that wasn’t enough, you will automatically be entered into a competition to win 2 tickets to the European Championship final.
The campaign runs every day during the European Championships from dusk until midnight.

2.PRIDE MONTH & CSD BERLIN
Berlin celebrates Pride Month in July, culminating in Christopher Street Day on July 27 and the absolute event highlight of the Street Parade, which starts in Mitte and continues via Nollendorfplatz to the Victory Column. Millions of people come together to set an example for tolerance and freedom. The month is full of exciting events for the LGBTQ+ community, including the Lesbian-Gay City Festival and the Queer Art and Culture Days. The opening ceremony of Pride Month will take place in the UEFA EURO 2024 Fan Zone at the Reichstag, which is an exciting overlap between the two events.
