Do I have to book a time slot?
Yes, tickets are time slot-bound. Access is only possible during the booked time slot. The ticket has a grace period of 15 minutes.

How can I make a group booking?
Sphere Restaurant Tim Raue:
For booking enquiries for groups of more than 8 people, please use the contact form.
Observation Deck:

Ticket not received, what can I do?
Please check if the confirmation is in your spam folder. If there is nothing there, please send us an e-mail to [email protected].
Are tickets transferable?
Yes, tickets are transferable and not name-bound.
Can I cancel my tickets?
No, tickets cannot be canceled for any reason.
Can I rebook tickets?
Yes, every ticket can be rebooked online at https://tv-turm.de/en/manage-booking/ up to 10 minutes before the admission time at the latest.
Are children allowed to visit the TV tower?
Yes, but children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
Do I need an extra ticket for the Sphere Bar?
No, the Sphere Bar is located on the observation deck and is accessible to all guests with a ticket.

How quickly does the Berlin TV Tower rotate?
The Sphere Restaurant rotates around its axis twice an hour, completing one full rotation every 30 minutes. This means you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Berlin during your meal.
Does the Berlin TV Tower rotate?
The Berlin TV Tower itself does not rotate, and the observation deck remains stationary. The Sphere Restaurant, however, rotates – hence the term “revolving restaurant.”
How long can I stay?
Yes, the stay is limited in time.
Viewing platform: 45 minutes.
Restaurant: max. 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Where is the entrance located?
The entrance to the Berlin TV Tower is opposite Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station.
What are the opening hours?
March to October: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. November to February: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Are there guided tours or audio guides?
No. The TV Tower does not offer guided tours or audio guides.
Can wheelchair users or people with walking disabilities visit the TV tower?

Are there security checks on site?
Yes, there are security checks. Just like at the airport, you walk through a metal detector and every bag is checked for its contents.
Are suitcases/backpacks allowed?
No. For safety reasons, larger items of luggage (such as suitcases, bags and shopping bags) may not be taken onto the tower. The maximum size for backpacks is (45x35x20cm WxHxL).
Are there lockers?
No. There is no possibility to store luggage.
Are there rules for baby carriages?
Baby carriages may not be taken upstairs. There is a free storage facility at the wardrobe.
May I take photos?
Yes, private photos are permitted. Tripods and drones are not permitted.
Are dogs allowed at the Berlin TV Tower?
No, dogs are not allowed inside the Berlin TV Tower for safety reasons. The same applies to other animals. Assistance dogs are exempt from this rule if the appropriate documentation is provided, as they are specially trained.

How long is the giftcard valid?
Our giftcards are valid for 3 years – so you have full flexibility for your time together.
Can I print out the giftcard immediately?
Yes, you will receive a PDF by e-mail immediately after your purchase. Perfect if you’re looking for a gift with a wow effect today.
What can I redeem the giftcard for?
For all products and packages that you find here on the website.
Can the giftcard also be used for catering packages?
Absolutely. The giftcard can be redeemed for all gastronomy experiences that you see here on the website above.
Can I use the giftcard on site in the restaurant or store?
Currently, the gift certificates can only be redeemed online in advance for the products you see at the top of this website. Unfortunately, the gift certificate cannot be used for à la carte dining in the restaurant or at the bar, nor in the shop.
Can the giftcard be paid out in cash?
No, a cash payment of the giftcard value is unfortunately not possible.

How can I pay at Sphere Restaurant?
Only cashless with EC, debit or credit card.
Can I eat in the restaurant without paying admission?
No, you need a restaurant ticket for this. Included are the admission and the table reservation.
Do I need to reserve a table?
No. The table reservation is made automatically with the ticket purchase.
Can I choose a specific table?
No, tables are allocated automatically by the reservation system.
Are there gluten-free/lactose-free/vegetarian/vegan options?
Yes, the meals offer options for different dietary requirements.
Can I go to the observation deck with my restaurant ticket?

Berlin Welcome Card
You will receive the discount for the Berlin Welcome Card by showing your BWC ticket at the ticket office. An online discount with the Berlin Welcome Card is not possible.
What you need to know about using the Berlin Welcome Card All Inclusive?
With the Berlin Welcome Card All Inclusive you can scan in directly at the turnstile. If the time slot is fully booked, please contact the ticket office. The next available time slot can be reserved there.
What discounts are available?
Discounts are available for people with a student ID card, severely disabled ID card and holders of the Berlin Welcome Card. These discounts are only granted at the box office on site. Discounts on online tickets are not possible.

The staircase in the Berlin TV Tower has a total of 986 steps.
Does the Berlin TV Tower have stairs?
Yes, the Berlin TV Tower has a staircase. However, it is reserved exclusively for emergencies and service personnel and cannot be used by visitors.
How fast is the elevator at the Berlin TV Tower?
The elevator in the Berlin TV Tower travels at a speed of 6 meters per second. This means you’ll reach the observation deck in about 40 seconds.
How do I get to the observation deck?
Access to the observation deck of the Berlin TV Tower is exclusively by elevator. It is not possible to reach it via the staircase.
LIMITED ACCESSIBILITY
Unfortunately, accessibility was not a consideration during the planning and construction in the 1960s. Despite all efforts and the support of the authorities as well as disability and professional organizations, the tower cannot be retrofitted to be accessible. To ensure visitor safety in the event of an evacuation, wheelchair users and people with mobility impairments (i.e., people who cannot move around without assistance or aids such as crutches, etc.) are unfortunately not permitted to enter the Berlin TV Tower.
