In spring 2025, Berlin’s best-known top chef Tim Raue will present his culinary mastery at lofty heights. The revolving restaurant of the Berlin TV Tower, which overlooks the city at 207 meters, will be run under the name “Sphere by Tim Raue”. For lovers of fine dining, this means an experience at the highest level – both literally and in culinary terms. In collaboration with the team at the Berlin TV Tower, Tim Raue will reinterpret classic Berlin and Brandenburg dishes and offer guests an unforgettable culinary journey.
TIM RAUE – A CULINARY LEGEND FROM BERLIN
Tim Raue has long been an established name in the world of top gastronomy. The Tim Raue Berlin restaurant, which he runs together with his business partner Marie-Anne Wild, has made a name for itself internationally. With two MICHELIN stars and five toques in Gault & Millau, Restaurant Tim Raue Berlin is one of the best addresses in the world. It has also been on the prestigious list of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants” for many years, currently in 30th place. Tim Raue has not only been named “Restaurateur of the Year”, but has also published several books and is known to a global audience from numerous TV formats. Despite his international success, he always remains a Berliner at heart – and this is also reflected in his cuisine.
A CULINARY JOURNEY THROUGH BERLIN AND BRANDENBURG
With the opening of Sphere by Tim Raue on the Berlin TV Tower, Raue will present his guests with a modern interpretation of Berlin-Brandenburg cuisine. “It will be a contemporary culinary concept that showcases Berlin and Brandenburg in a casual setting,” says Raue. The menu will include classics such as Königsberger Klopse, Berliner Schnitzel, Soljanka and Currywurst – all with an unmistakable Raue touch. Only regional products from producers in Berlin and Brandenburg will be used for preparation.
“The TV tower is Berlin’s highest landmark and, with its revolving Sphere restaurant, is home to the highest restaurant in a building in Germany,” says Tim Raue. “As a Berliner, this partnership gives me the wonderful opportunity to unite my city, my origins and our surrounding area in culinary terms.” In addition to traditional dishes, guests can also look forward to modern interpretations that will be transformed into new taste experiences thanks to Raue’s creativity and craftsmanship.
THE BERLIN TELEVISION TOWER: A NEW ERA OF CULINARY DELIGHTS
Since 2020, the team at the Berlin TV Tower has been pursuing the goal of offering visitors not only an impressive panorama, but also a comprehensive experience. After extensive renovation work in the foyer, the introduction of innovative VR experiences and the renovation of the Sphere Bar, the final building block is now being added with Tim Raue’s takeover of the restaurant in the Berlin TV Tower to make the TV Tower a culinary hotspot.
“We are so proud that we have been able to win Tim Raue over,” reports Anja Nitsch, Managing Director of the Berlin TV Tower. “The talks have been going on for a while, of course, but right from the start Tim was on fire for the idea and the challenge that is on offer here.” This partnership promises to make the Berlin TV Tower not only a “place to be”, but also a “place to eat”.
BREAKFAST, SANDWICHES AND KĂ–NIGSBERGER KLOPSE: A CULINARY OFFERING FOR EVERY OCCASION
The Sphere by Tim Raue will offer an all-day menu with something for everyone. From breakfast to coffee and cake, the culinary program will cater to every taste. Snacks by Tim Raue are already available at the Sphere Bar: visitors can choose between “Dickes B! Bulette & Bier” by Tim Raue with a juicy boulette with mustard cream & sweet & sour cornichons plus a refreshing drink (BRLO beer or a glass of sparkling wine) or “P’N’P! Prickelndes & Pikantes Berlin” by Tim Raue consisting of Tim’s spicy Berlin currywurst with Schrippe including BRLO beer or a glass of sparkling wine.
In the evening, guests can look forward to special highlights such as Königsberger Klopse, Berliner Schnitzel and pickled North Sea salmon with cucumber and horseradish. Classics such as the banana split will also be on the menu, of course with a touch of Raue’s sophistication.
“In future, we want to give Berliners and Brandenburgers the opportunity to celebrate their festivals and special occasions with us and enjoy the magnificent view of our homeland alongside all the tourists,” explains Raue.
TIM RAUE: A TOP CHEF WITH A PASSION FOR BERLIN

But his Michelin-starred restaurants, including Restaurant Tim Raue Berlin, are also proof of his ability to constantly redefine the boundaries of culinary art.
With Sphere by Tim Raue, the Berlin TV Tower has become a new highlight on the Berlin gastronomy scene. This is where tradition and modernity meet, united in a breathtaking location. “From spring 2025, we will be treating guests to culinary delights all day long in the Sphere by Tim Raue restaurant,” promises Raue.
