Here are your five highlights in June 2026.<\/p>\n

1. Long Night of the Sciences<\/a><\/h3>\n

Berlin is not just good at partying; Berlin can do Brain City too \u2013 and in a very hands-on way. During the Long Night of the Sciences, laboratories, archives, lecture halls and research institutions in Berlin and Potsdam open their doors. You can click your way through experiments, join guided tours, marvel at live demos and realise along the way that science feels much less dry when it comes with popcorn, fog machines and \u201cWhat happens if\u2026?\u201d moments. Our tip: choose 2\u20133 locations in advance (trying to do everything is ambitious) and plan your route like a little expedition \u2013 by the end, you are guaranteed to feel a little smarter, and very Berlin while you are at it.

2. Music highlight: F\u00eate de la Musique: F\u00eate de la Musique<\/a><\/h3>\n

On 21 June, Berlin celebrates the start of summer with F\u00eate de la Musique \u2013 and turns the whole city into a stage. Free concerts pop up everywhere: on squares, in parks, in courtyards and sometimes even in places where you only meant to stop by \u201cquickly\u201d. The best part: you do not have to plan much. You can simply drift through the city and create your own soundtrack for the evening. You will find hotspots in almost every district; if you want the full Berlin experience, start by collecting music outdoors and then head into an afterparty later on.<\/p>\n

In June, Tempelhofer Feld is the perfect place for everything that is fun outdoors. Whether you are planning a picnic in the grass, cruising along the old runways on a longboard or simply enjoying the skyline at sunset \u2013 this is Berlin at its most relaxed. The former airport site is huge, open to everyone and offers plenty of space to breathe. Especially lovely: sitting on the west side on warm evenings with friends and snacks, letting the day wind down. And if you have been up the TV Tower beforehand, you will immediately recognise the runways from above \u2013 like a giant grey stripe in the middle of the green.<\/p>\n

4. Kunstfest Pankow<\/a> \u2013 Art and Music in the Castle Gardens<\/h3>\n

On 13 and 14 June, Sch\u00f6nhausen Palace Park will be transformed into a vast cultural open-air venue. The Pankow Art Festival will celebrate its 25th edition in 2026, bringing two days of music, arts and crafts, and a variety of hands-on activities to the park. Under the theme ‘Fairy Tales and Legends’, you can stroll through the palace park, discover art, listen to concerts or simply sit on the grass with something to eat and soak up the atmosphere. It\u2019s this mix in particular that makes the Kunstfest a great June outing: it feels less like a traditional festival site and more like a relaxed Berlin summer\u2019s day in the park \u2013 only with a much more varied programme.<\/p>\n

Our tip: Allow a bit of time to wander around. Sch\u00f6nhausen Palace and the park are part of the experience this weekend.<\/p>\n

5. Open House at the Hamburger Bahnhof<\/a> \u2013 Art Meets a Summer Evening<\/h3>\n

For three days, the Hamburger Bahnhof will be even more open than usual: from 12 to 14 June, the Museum of Contemporary Art is holding its Open House \u2013 and in 2026 there will be a special occasion to mark the Hamburger Bahnhof\u2019s 30th anniversary. With free admission, you can do more than just visit the exhibitions. The programme also includes guided tours, workshops, music and various hands-on activities. The courtyard will also have a summery atmosphere: there will be dancing and music, amongst other things, whilst further activities will take place in the museum and the Rieckhallen.<\/p>\n
